Found an Instructor

I am thinking about joining my schools chorus group next year, however I am afraid I will get made fun of. I love to sing, but am afraid to let others hear me sing, for fear they will think I am bad. So now I am looking for a private one on one instructor, to show me the basics of singing, that way I do not make a complete fool of myself at tryouts. I found several singing course reviews for an instructor that is about five miles away from me, I plan on calling her tomorrow to set up a time for when we can meet.
