How To Improve Your Bio Part 3
July 13th, 2010
* And now the news: A statement of fact. “What do Kiss, Steely Dan, and Cyndi Lauper all have in common? Rick Derringer played on their albums.” While I am a humongous Derringer fan, I don’t like starting a bio with facts because there are enough facts in the rest of the copy. But other folks like that style. And there may come a day when it’ll be right for me to use facts as a lead.Keep the introductory sentence in mind as you complete the first paragraph, which should segue the bio’s theme into the artist’s origins. As you write the rest of the bio, continue the history letting the first sentence influence the attitude and then the conclusion of the bio.
