Basically, an acoustic electric is an acoustic guitar that’s been added with electronics so that it may be plugged into an amplifier. For most part, it looks, sound and play like the typical acoustic guitar.
It is an entirely functional acoustic guitar applied by having a pickup which is electric, a transducer or simply a microphone. Employing a microphone or a transducer is really a requirement regarding a musical instrument that has nylon strings because a pickup doesn’t recognize vibrations from non metallic materials. The signals from the microphone will then be fed into the amp which will increase it similarly with an electronic instrument.
