Understanding the Various Music Concepts through Theory

Most of us associate music with rhythm and beats. There is connection between beat and rhythm. We recognize beat occurring at regular intervals as a rhythm in music. Music Theory gives us an insight into several such concepts of music. For instance, it makes us realize that rhythms in music are more than just beats. It is in fact the way that sounds with different lengths and accents combine to form a pattern in time. A beat is an intricate part of such patterns. Rhythms can be created by striking almost anything. The only thing necessary is a difference in accent.
